FRANKLIN FINALIST ALLIANCE CAPTAIN
About a month and a half after Super-Regionals, our team flew to Houston, Texas for the Houston FIRST Championship. There, we cinched 3rd place in the Franklin Division and became the captain of our alliance with teams 9899 Black Diamond Robotics and 11039 Innov8rz. We won our first two semifinal matches, then advanced to finals to set a record of 653 points as Division Finalist Alliance Captains.
COMPASS AWARD WINNER
Alongside RevAmped, our teams nominated Coach Zhunquin Wang for the Compass Award. We collaborated with RevAmped to create a nomination video exemplifying the various ways in which Coach Zhunquin had helped us throughout the season. Our team contributed a lot to the creation of the nomination video by having representatives from Overcharged speak about Coach Zhunquin’s nomination during the clip. Furthermore, we initiated the effort – Advaith felt it was a long overdue nomination. We decided that we wanted to surprise Coach Zhunquin with the nomination, and his reaction was priceless.
